Abstract

Sport in Mexico is undergoing a transformation marked by digitalization, professionalization, and changing consumption habits. The practice of sport has moved from traditional spaces to broader environments that combine technology, performance science, and physical culture. This paper examines the role of sport as a tool for health, identity, and social cohesion, as well as its evolution in urban contexts. Sport is no longer just competition, but a holistic experience that involves analysis, active participation, and new forms of interaction, such as online betting.
