Abstract

In Mexico, sports are a cultural and social pillar. Soccer is the undisputed leader, with Liga MX and the National Team mobilizing millions. Boxing follows in popularity, solidified by historical idols and massive audiences for championship fights. Baseball maintains strong regional roots and renewed international interest, while lucha libre (Mexican wrestling) persists as an icon of national identity. Finally, basketball and the emerging eSports are rapidly gaining ground among new generations, diversifying the country's entertainment and sports economy.
