Verbal, Body Expression, and Numerical Language: An Integrated Approach to School Learning
Systematic Review
Abstract
The present article proposes an interdisciplinary educational approach that integrates verbal language, body expression, and mathematical thinking as key pillars for more meaningful school learning, the development of multiple skills and the integration of knowledge from an interdisciplinary perspective. By connecting Language Arts, Mathematics, and Physical Education, the approach aims to enhance not only cognitive development but also students’ communication, motor, and logical-mathematical skills. It presents educational experiences that combine play, storytelling, body movement, and problem-solving, promoting active, creative, and contextualized teaching. The proposal highlights the role of the body in learning processes and the importance of moving beyond fragmented views of knowledge. This integrated perspective supports a more inclusive and dynamic education where students learn through the interaction of mind, body, and language. The objective of this systematic review looks for demonstrating how the integration of these three areas can enrich the teaching and learning process in school settings.
