Impact of Physical Activity on Asthma Mortality in Brazil

An Epidemiological Analysis and Exercise Prescription Guidelines

Abstract

This study examines asthma mortality in Brazil over the past 13 years, providing a detailed epidemiological analysis across the country's five regions and highlighting disparities in mortality rates. Additionally, it discusses the role of physical activity in asthma management, including exercise prescription guidelines for individuals with asthma and the positive impact of physical activity on quality of life and respiratory function. Based on a systematic review of studies, this article offers recommendations for safe exercise practices, considering factors such as Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction and specific age-related needs.
