O exercício físico combinado e a rigidez arterial em indivíduos hipertensos e pré-hipertensos. Revisão sistemática
Resumo
A rigidez arterial é um importante indicador do envelhecimento vascular, estando associada ao risco de doenças cardiovasculares e à mortalidade. Diversas intervenções têm sido propostas para sua redução, especialmente em indivíduos hipertensos e pré-hipertensos. Nos últimos anos, o exercício físico combinado tem sido investigado quanto ao seu impacto sobre esse marcador. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os efeitos do exercício físico combinado sobre a rigidez arterial em indivíduos hipertensos e pré-hipertensos. Para isso, foi realizada uma revisão sistemática, conforme as diretrizes PRISMA, nas bases de dados PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, LILACS e Google Acadêmico. Ao todo, foram identificados 2.675 artigos, dos quais apenas três atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade e foram incluídos na análise. A velocidade da onda de pulso (VOP) foi a principal medida utilizada para avaliação da rigidez arterial, estando presente em 66,7% dos estudos. Os resultados indicaram que, em dois dos três estudos (66,7%), o exercício físico combinado não foi eficaz na redução da rigidez arterial em indivíduos hipertensos e pré-hipertensos. Diante disso, conclui-se que são necessários novos estudos experimentais com intervenções combinadas de exercícios resistidos e aeróbicos, conduzidos com maior rigor metodológico, a fim de verificar se há, de fato, uma redução significativa da rigidez arterial nesses grupos específicos.
