    Desta forma, os resultados do presente estudo sugerem que o treino da força é um instrumento efectivo na prevenção das quedas e consequente melhoria da qualidade de vida entre a população idosa. No entanto, os mesmos também sugerem a importância de incluir sempre nos programas de treino para a população idosa, exercícios para todos os grupos musculares, uma vez que todos eles têm uma grande influência nas actividades da vida diária.
