FORMANDO PROFESORES DE EDUCACION FISICA:
"LO POSIBLE DENTRO DE LO EXISTENTE"
Mabel Guidi / Gabriela Maletta (Arg.)

TRAINING PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROFESSORS:
THE POSSIBILITIES WITHIN THE CURRENT REALITY

Abstract
This section presents a proposal for two courses in the overall Study Plan for Future Physical Education Teachers: Practice of Teaching and Special Didactics II.
Those who understand the necessity of rethinking the presentation of physical education in the schools consider it essential to start with the challenging context in which we find ourselves. The researcher, Angela Aisenstein, expresses the need to meet this challenge by doing "what is possible within what exists."
First, we look at the problems which affect the practical, as well as the didactic, aspects of teaching, and then explain several aspects of the theoretical and methodological presuppositions which have guided us in our work. Among these is the concept of physical education as corporal education, didactics as character discipline, and the programming of teaching and training as a research process which incorporates the ideas of future teachers.
The use of ongoing reflection as a methodological strategy in the processes of teacher training is explained and some conclusions are drawn from students in both areas.
